2023 Chrysler 300 Concept, Redesign, Specs, & Price. The current generation of this full-size sedan has been around for almost a decade, so it’s no wonder that we can hear a lot of rumors about discontinuation, or possible redesign. However, none of this will happen, as the 2023 Chrysler 300 is about to carry on in the same way, according to our insiders. The potent sedan will carry on with familiar design characteristics and we probably won’t see any notable change, except for maybe a couple of novelties in terms of standard equipment.
This means you may count on a capable sedan, which is powerful and pretty comfortable, and also comes with decent interior quality. Given the model’s age, it’s also obvious that there are some drawbacks. This mostly refers to poor safety ratings, while many also complain about the fact that the ride isn’t as athletic as on most rivals. The 2023 Chrysler 300 should hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2023 Chrysler 300 Engines
Some rumors suggest 2023 Chrysler 300 Hellcat, but we are pretty sure this won’t happen. Therefore, you may count on two familiar engine options. Base versions are equipped with a 3.6-liter V6, which is good for about 292 horsepower. This is more than enough for decent performance, but an optional V8 is definitely a much better deal. Of course, we are talking about a well-known 5.7-liter HEMI unit, which delivers around 363 horsepower in this case. Both engines come in pair with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
When it comes to fuel economy, the base engine returns around 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, which are average ratings for the class. Naturally, the V8 unit is a little bit thirstier and returns around 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
2023 Chrysler 300 Design
This is pretty much the same vehicle we initially saw 9 years ago when it comes to base design characteristics. The full-size sedan rides on a familiar LD platform, just like its corporal siblings from Dodge, Charger and Challenger. That means that you shouldn’t come on a high dose of athleticism with this sedan, despite the powerful engine options. On the other side, the ride is pretty comfortable and refined.
When it comes to the styling, we saw one update several years ago but it was quite subtle. We can say that the styling hasn’t significantly changed during this long production cycle. In practice, this means a pretty conventional sedan look, which looks more than decent even for today’s industry standards. As the 2023 Chrysler 300 redesign won’t happen, the best thing we can see are new color options, but we doubt this will happen either.
The same story goes for the 2023 Chrysler 300 interior design. Despite the age, the cabin looks pretty good and it is still among the finests in the class. Of course, aesthetics show little signs of aging, but the overall interior quality is pretty good, especially in higher trims.
With more than 120 inches between the axles, this sedan offers a pretty generous amount of legroom in both rows seats. Also, the front seats are supportive and pretty massive. Finding a perfect driving position is also pretty easy, especially if we consider that an 8-way power-adjustable seat is part of standard equipment. The only complaint goes to the rearward visibility, which isn’t great, mostly because of thick back pillars.
You may count on typical ratings for the class when it comes to the cargo capacity. In numbers, it goes around 16.5 cubic feet, which is an average rating for the class.
When it comes to standard equipment, there is always a chance to see some novelties, but we presume that most of the things are about to remain the same. The current model already features a pretty decent list of standard tech features, which includes goodies like an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, six speakers, Bluetooth, two USB ports, satellite radio, HD Radio, voice recognition, push-button start, proximity keyless entry etc. You can get things like nine-speaker Alpine or 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system, navigation, and remote start when it comes to upgrades
On the other side, the base model doesn’t shine in terms of safety, as a rearview camera is the only standard feature. Things are significantly better in higher trims, where you can get goodies like automatic high-beams, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.
2023 Chrysler 300 Release Date and Price
We expect this model will go on sale sometime in the last quarter of the year. Base models will go around 30.000 dollars when it comes to the 2023 Chrysler 300 price.
