BMW X6 2024. Following the recent redesign, the BMW X6 2024 doesn’t have much room for improvement. The model debuted initially with a turbo-6 engine with both two- and all-wheel drive plus turbocharged V-8 but the high-performance X6 M version joined also for the 2020 model year with the twin-turbo V-8 under the hood. The BMW X6 M was expected for the 2024 model year when the first prototype appeared on the road but since it is already here there won’t be big news for the 2024 version. The plug-in hybrid version should join the range but it’s not clear when.
Buyers should expect the next X6 to be the carryover model with just a few changes in the equipment organization. BMW should also introduce new color options and wheel styles but there won’t be much more than that. The model will return well-equipped from the base version loaded with active safety tech, premium materials, large touchscreens and more.
BMW X6 2024 Performance
The BMW X6 2024 will gain come in several powertrain flavors but all versions will deliver great performance and handling.
At the base level, the X6 will come with the 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine under the hood combined with the rear-wheel drive. The engine makes 335 hp and torque of 330 pound-feet. 8-speed automatic transmission is standard across the range. Buyers can get this engine mixed with the all-wheel dive in the XDrive40 version.
For the next-level performance, a 4.4-liter turbocharged V-8 engine delivers 523 hp and torque of 553 pound-feet. Equipped with this engine, the X6 comes with the all-wheel drive by default and can reach 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.
The coupe-style X6 comes also in the M-branded version which has 600 hp and 533 pound-feet of torque at disposal from the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine. This version needs just 3.8 seconds until 60 mph. With the Competition package, the output jumps to 617 hp while it reduces the 60-mph time to 3.7 seconds.
The M performance version comes also with various structural and suspension upgrades to support all that power. The upgraded braking system is also used.
BMW X6 2024 Design
The BMW X6 2024 will return in the same form structurally and visually for the next model year. BMW will expand the equipment list with the new color and wheel options and buyers should not expect much more.
The newest generation X6 shares the platform with the recently all-new X5 and has a more angular style than before. The model is also larger in all directions than in the previous iteration and sits lower to ground.
The model has similar styling elements as the more conventional X5 while the front bumper is different. The X6 is also sportier from the profile thanks to the descending roofline and more muscular rear fenders.
The rear is also attractive thanks to the slim LED headlights, sculpted tailgate and sports rear bumper. The model gest also attention with the standard 20-inch wheels.
The X6 M gets even more aggressive body-kit including M-branded grille, sportier bumpers and fenders, sportier rear spoiler, quad exhaust setup, lightweight 21- and 22-inch wheels.
Interior, equipment
The cabin of the next X6 will also stay the same. The model’s interior is the same design used in the X5 while X6 trades some of the interior comforts for a more attractive appearance.
The X6 has up to 59.6 cubic feet of the cargo space and 27.6 cubes with all seats up which is a slight increase over the previous version.

The coupe-style X6 comes also with the modern dash which includes a large 12.3-inch center touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digitalized instrument cluster. The standard equipment covers also leather upholstery, heated front seats, LED headlights, parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, etc.
For the extra money buyers can get sport seats, upgraded leather upholstery, illuminated grille, a head-up display, premium sound system, cooled front and heated rear seats, a night-vision camera system and more.
BMW X6 2024 Release Date, Price
The BMW X6 2024 will enter the market in late 2023. The price should stay close to the current range. The entry-level X6 should start from around $65, 000. The V-8 powered X6 should be available from around $86, 000.
